Dear fellow Newbie Marketers,

first - I have to apologize for not posting the last couple of weeks (wow, is it really that long ago?).
But I wasn’t lazy (ok too lazy to write a post). I kept learning after my last post that mentioned
that giveaway event of Henry Gold (117 Work at Home Gifts).
Boy, it was a great decision to join that event as a contributor. Why? Ok, let me explain…

1. I created squeeze pages for the products I wanted to promote
2. I learned more about how to promote such an event with Safelists and Adsense ads
3. My list grew from 100 to 750 in 4 weeks
4. I recruited near 300 members for the giveaway campaign
5. I finished at the 12^th position close to the big IM guns
6. I won the Silver Package in the cash contest containing a vacation in the US and the qualification to joint venture with Henry Gold
7. I already made sales from the thank-you page I displayed whenever somebody downloaded my gift from the giveaway

Not bad for a newbie

Shortly after this event Henry Gold started another Giveaway (117 Cristmas Gifts) and that was even better:

• More big IM guns contributed as in the first campaign (and recruited over 14.000 members for the event)
• I managed to finish again in the 12^th position (beating even Jason James)
• I received between 30 and 50 new subscribers to my list per day
• I made sales from the thank-you page I displayed whenever somebody downloaded my gift from the giveaway
• I earned affiliate commissions when members I recruited purchased offers made within the giveaway campaign

Honestly - to me Joint Venture Giveaway campaigns are a great way to build your list, get lots of information for free, gather experience how to promote and extend your network.

I am so enthusiastic about these events that I decided to build a site dedicated to “Quality Giveaway Events“. But that’s a story for my next post.
